CHANGING RETURNABLITY FLAGS

Select Inventory Management (option # 20 from the main menu).

Select Inventory File Maintenance (option # 30 from the inventory management menu).

Select Chg Returnable Flag by Decription, Mfg Popularity code, Part Prefix, or NLA Status (options # 170-173 from the inventory file maintenance menu).

You will be prompted:

Manufacturer code (or /ALL) >

Type the manufacturer code of the parts you want to change and press <Enter>. Type /ALL and press <Enter> if you want to change all manufacturers.

Your screen will look like this:

0 = Do not change

1 = Allow returns

2 = DO NOT allow returns

Change RETURNABLE-FROM-CUSTOMER flag (0,1,2 ) ?

Type the return option you want and press <Enter>.

Change RETURNABLE-TO-VENDOR flag (0,1,2 ) ?

Type the return option you want and press <Enter>.

The following prompts will depend on which menu item you are running.

If you wish to change all the parts for the mfg selected, enter /ALL at the prompt below

(menu item #170)

1) Word in description > (enter a word in that appears anywhere in the

Description of the parts you want to change)

Or (menu item #171)

1) Mfg POP code > (enter the manufacturer popularity code of the parts you want to change)

Or (menu item #172)

1) Part number prefix > (the beginning number, numbers, character, or

characters of the parts you want to change)

Or (menu item #173)

This program will change the returnability flags on ALL parts in the PRODCT file that match the mfg code and are flagged NLA

All of the above menu options allow you to answer No at the end of the program to abort the changes and/or start over.
